2-Day Linux Sysadmin Workshop Early Bird Registration Ends Soon

I’m excited to announce that the details of the San Francisco Bay Area Linux Sysadmin workshop is finalized.

Workshop Date and Location

  • Workshop Date: 16-Aug-2014 (Sat) and 17-Aug-2014 (Sun) from 8:00 a.m – 5:00 p.m
  • Location: 550 Shell Blvd, Foster City, CA 94404 (This is the Courtyard by Marriot at San Mateo Foster City)

This is a live workshop that you can attend only by being present in the classroom at the above location in San Francisco Bay Area. You cannot attend this workshop remotely.

Workshop Format

During the workshop, for the 2 days, each participants will be assigned a separate live CentOS server with root access, where you’ll perform all the lab exercises.

We’ll be covering all essential aspects of Linux sysadmin including security, filesystem storage, backup, system monitoring/performance, etc, which are covered in a well designed 10 different lab modules, which has several hands-on exercises for every module.

This will be an interactive workshop with high-level explanation on every module followed by lab exercises.

For every module, I’ll first teach you the concepts of that particular module using presentation slides, which will immediately be followed by hands-on lab exercises for that module performed by you on a live server.

This workshop will be a non-stop all day hands-on experience. As you already know, the best way to learn is to do it yourself hands-on by following a well structured and organized lab exercises, which is taught by an expert.

This workshop is for newbies who have no experience or limited experience on Linux sysadmin, but like to become proficient in Linux system administration on CentOS platform.
